Well it’s almost the weekend. I predict at least one IMBC dropout in the next three days. Unfortunately, it’s conceivable that it could be me. See, I’m going to go work at the Lewiston dog show (being put on by the Palouse Hills Dog Fanciers) this weekend. I’ll probably be doing parking attendant stuff. For twelve hours a day, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I don’t expect it to be very fun, but it’s a great way for a college student to make a little extra money.

I’m planning to stay in Lewiston to avoid the 40-minute commute from/to Pullman. Hopefully I’ll be able to blog while I’m there. They don’t have a 24/7 FedEx Kinko’s, but they do have a cybercafe that’s open until 2:00 AM on the weekends (Cyberspace Internet Cafe at 513 Main St.). But, just in case something goes wrong there, I’ve also got the address of a Starbucks where I can buy wifi access for ten bucks.

TotD:

What kind of music do you listen to?

Most anything with a quick tempo and a nice melody. Bubblegum-synthpop, show tunes (the toe-tapping variety, not that Les Misérables junk), various kinds of rock, oldies, folk music, some bluegrass, acapella, string quartets, a little techno. Generally, I dislike hip hop and country, though my MP3 collection includes a few examples of both (Cowboy Troy, Ludacris, and Dolly Parton, frex). I guess my Last.fm profile is a pretty good gauge of what I like.

Actually, I just made a background for my desktop a couple days ago that relates to this topic. Here’s a screencap:

It’s the covers of my (current) favorite albums. I made a little blurred/low-saturation bar on the left side so it wouldn’t obscure my ObjectDock. Here’s the original 1680×1050 lossless version (2.75 MB), in the unlikely event that anyone else out there likes all the same music or thinks the collage is pretty.

Okay, I’ve got a lot of laundry to do. I’m so not looking forward to getting up at 4:30 AM tomorrow.
