We got back from Amanda and Matthew’s wedding around 8:00 PM Saturday night. The Masonic Temple they had it at is a really impressive building. The ceremony was very nice; short and simple.

On the way to Spokane, we stopped for lunch at the Cottage Cafe in Cle Elum. Really terrific food. I had The Sourdough (basically a French dip with cheddar) and we both had butterhorns for dessert. On the way back we stopped in Vantage and tried the fare at Golden Harvest which, despite the fancy name, is just a humdrum trucker’s diner. I had the philly with fries — decent, but the bread was bland and soft.

I submitted my entry for SketchUp’s second 3D Challenge — here’s the 3D Warehouse listing if anyone wants to see it. The challenge was to design the audio portion of a home theater setup; I did something a little atypical — an outdoor audio setup using my own twist on Bose FreeSpace 51s and a custom player/tuner (pics: 1, 2).

No D&D game tomorrow, but I think some of us will still get together at Game-A-Lot for something. Maybe Settlers of Catan. Or Keith might be up to running an impromptu adventure.

Man, Venture Brothers has been awesome… the premiere was too cool for words and tonight’s episode was super swell. Lots of Doctor Girlfriend and Brock palling around with Phantom Limb. Good stuff. Gary (AKA #21) might be my new favorite character. I was surprised Jonas Jr. didn’t appear in the episode — I thought they would make him a primary character.

Now reading another Discworld novel — Monstrous Regiment. Good so far, but I don’t think it’ll be as fun as Going Postal.

A few pictures from the trip: Some pretty scenery near Snoqualmie Pass, Brett gesturing at the Columbia, and a shot of the river gorge.
