8:50 pm, Sunday, April 2nd, 2006So I got into Seattle last night around 6:30. Watched some TiVo, ordered a pizza from Dominos (green peppers, mushrooms, onions, sausage, pepperoni), drank some Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. DCVDP, I call it. I love saying it fast — deeseeveedeepee. Awesome stuff. Doesn’t taste diet at all… Ryan and I agree it must cause cancer. Anyway, I was too late to attend the Emerald City Comicon on Saturday so I resolved to go Sunday. But then I had to stay here ’till Brett showed up and ended up getting to the event center at 3:30 only to find they don’t sell tickets after a certain time on Sunday. Took some pictures of the entrance before taking a cab back uptown though.

Oh well. I can still get my Penny Arcade hardcover signed at PAX ‘06. And hey, maybe Kirkman will be at the 2007 ECCC… that’d be a sweeter autograph for my Walking Dead #1 than Tony Moore’s would have been.
Saw this funny post on Slashdot by ObsessiveMathsFreak:
> For those over the age of 12, using “gay” as a generic derogatory is pretty f***ing childish and insulting.
Yeah. I hate it when people act all gay like that.
On the way over from the Tri-Cities I finished listening to Magical Thinking. The last CD was especially awesome because the last hour of audio is just Augusten Burroughs being interviewed by his agent. Very funny. And he doesn’t sound anywhere near as fruity when he’s speaking normally (as opposed to when he reads his work aloud). His stuff is pretty entertaining; I’m almost tempted to pick up his first memoir, Running with Scissors. I refrain from doing so mainly because his conceit gets irritating after a while… it’s endurable in an audiobook, but I don’t think I could handle 320 pages of “look how messed up and fascinating I am.” That’s what made me hate the Margaret Cho autobiography so much.
Other IMBC bloggers have been including their wordcount at the end of each post. I think that’s kinda keen, so:
Wordcount: 344

Are you including “wordcount” in your wordcount?
