So I’m in the Tri-Cities this weekend. Had a heck of a time driving from Seattle… firstly, just getting out of the city was a feat on its own, plus I hate driving long distances in the dark, then there was this detour to WA-26 and it turned out the westbound part of the highway was closed so I had to drive all over crappy, empty central Washington. Anyway, met up with Beefy and Jones around 10.

We watched a little musical standup on Beefy’s DVR (Moxi — TiVo for poor people), then learned to play the Penny Arcade UFS card game. It took a while to get used to, but we ended up really liking it. Jones and I played a full game (as Gabe and Tycho, respectively); I won. I love the control-check/foundation system. Here’s a FAQ I found for UFS. Clears up a lot.

Going to Infinite Frontiers tomorrow, then gaming with Beefy and Jones when they get off work. Should be fun.

Just found out about this — you can get a free USB thumbdrive from Microsoft by correctly answering this little quiz on their site.
